Your presence at our wedding is the greatest gift we could ask for, and we are so grateful to have you celebrate this special moment with us. We truly don’t expect anything more

However, if you feel inclined to give, we would love for you to support a cause close to your heart on our behalf. Instead of gifts, we’d be deeply touched if you chose to contribute to a charity that resonates with you. And if you do, we’d love to hear which initiative you decided to support!

Your kindness and generosity mean the world to us—thank you!

What to do in the area?
Notes from Jana
  • Italy is my favourite country in the world. The food, history, culture, language, and the variety of natural landscapes—from sandy beaches and tiny villages on dramatic cliffs to mountains and lakes—all make Italy one of the best travel destinations
  • If you have a few extra days before or after our wedding weekend, I highly recommend exploring Tuscany and the surrounding regions.
    • Appreciate the art and architecture of Florence and Siena
    • Don’t miss a chance to take the classic photo of holding up the Leaning Tower of Pisa
    • Visit some of the many charming towns like Arezzo, Montepulciano, Monticchiello, Pienza, Pitigliano, or my personal favourite, Civita di Bagnoregio
    • Stroll around the olive groves of Abbazia di Sant’Antimo, or pick up something from their local shop
    • Take a dip in one of the thermal springs (Terme di Saturnia, Terme Antica Querciolaia)
    • Explore the island of Napoleon’s exile—Isola d’Elba
  • If you have more time, consider visiting Rome, Naples and Amalfi Coast or venturing further north to explore Venice, Lake Garda, Lake Como, or hiking in the Dolomites
  • For our friends and family traveling from afar: if, like Ahsan, you believe Europe is one small country that can be explored in one go (here comes my Slavic sarcasm ☺), then feel free to visit neighbouring France (you might catch the start of the lavender bloom in Provence), Switzerland (we recently travelled to Lauterbrunnen and the Zermatt area and absolutely loved it!), Croatia or Austria (though I’m not a fan of the latter, so no recommendations from me there)
  • However, I strongly encourage you not to cram too much in if you have fewer than 7-10 days outside of the wedding. Italy is incredible enough to spend a couple of weeks there on its own ☺
